Echo Music Series 2011

RAISE THE ROOF

Saturday 21 May, 2pm

Raise your hands up for a joyous afternoon of singing as Blacktown Arts Centre presents a celebration of the human voice. Directed by acclaimed A Cappella leader, Linda Marr, three diverse local community choirs will be brought together in this unique premiere performance. The program offers from traditional and contemporary music with each choir presenting their unique sound. This event will culminate in a collaborative performance piece titled "Raise The Roof", written by Linda Marr.

Performers: The Singing Streets Choir (Blacktown Arts Centre), Simply Voices (Blacktown City Senior's Choir) and Australian Maltese Folklore Group.

Cost: Free Concert.

Second performance announced

By public demand, a second performance of Raise the Roof has been scheduled for 4pm Sat 21 May. 2pm Saturday 21 May performance SOLD OUT.
