SOJOURN

Saturday 27 August, 8pm

Exploring the heartbeat of their traditions, Heval and Sangre Gitana come together for Sojourn. A performance of passionate choreography, electrifying sound and infectious beats.

Accomplished global fusion and world music band Heval incorporate a unique blend of melodies that evoke Anatolian, Kurdish, Macedonian and Balkan musical traditions. Their music ranges from traditional songs to contemporary original compositions that reflect the cultural roots of the musicians.

Sangre Gitana, a Flamenco Dance ensemble, performs from the soul that is found in the depth of flamenco music. Their challenging choreography, diverse repertoire and colourful range of costumes seduce and captivate their audience through sevillanas, pasodobles, tangos and modern flamenco rumba.

Presented as part of the Experimental Echoes Initiative.

Cost: $20 Adult, $15 Friends of BAC/Concession.
