Echo Music Series - Telafonica
Telafonica
Saturday 26 November, 8pm
Quirky and chaotically eclectic, Telafonica is an ever expanding and contracting collection of musicians, visual artists and graphic designers using laptops, toy instruments and effects units.
Five vocalists travel from sonic intimacy to walls of harmonies. Electronic beats are coloured by peculiar instruments such as a typewriter and Theremin as well as traditional guitars, saxophone and synthesizers.
Led by local artist Adrian Elmer, Telafonica combines original abstract electronic based pop songs with video projections, live painters and improvised movement, seeking to find a synthesis of both hi-tech and handmade. Be ready for an enjoyable sensory overload.
Cost: $15 Adult, $10 Friends of BAC/Concession.
