Saturday 30 June, 8pm

Emma Donovan grew up in a musical family, many of whom reside in Blacktown. She was a founding member of the vocal trio Stiff Gins and currently sings with The Black Arm Band Company.

Hailed as a "superband" of some of Australia's best Aboriginal musicians, The Black Arm Band Company performs the work of the original creative pioneers of Aboriginal contemporary music; in addition to their own compositions and productions.

Emma Donovan and members of The Black Arm Band Company will be in residence at Blacktown Arts Centre with aspiring Aboriginal musicians and singer/songwriters to develop new music.

Be the first to hear these exciting new works with a specially formed community concert.

To register your interest in the Workshops for Aboriginal Singers contact Andrea James, Aboriginal Arts Development Officer on 02 9839 6230.Cost: Free, bookings essential.
