Artist Abdullah Syed currently utilises an artist's studio coordinated by Blacktown Arts Centre. The Visual Arts Studio Residency Program is run in conjunction with the Centre's exhibitions, providing vital spaces for creative production to artists from Western Sydney. Abdullah is a local artist and curator and has featured in solo and group exhibitions in Bangladesh, UAE, USA, Hong Kong, UK, India, Australia and Pakistan. As part of the Visual Arts Studio Residency Program, Abdullah will be working toward realising a curatorial project with Blacktown Arts Centre in 2012.
